Happy Friday, Sunshine Aura community! I have an exciting announcement to share. When I was in my final year of college (2015 – wow!), I wrote and self-published my first fiction novel, Monica.

Now that a significant amount of time has passed, I am feeling the itch to go back and write a 2nd edition of the book. Monica is the story of a college student who loses her mother, the events of which trigger her to be in the wrong place at the right time – Harvey Lake. The titular character, Monica, falls into Harvey Lake just as a lightning storm erupts, leading to her gain the power to manipulate water.

When I wrote Monica, I was heavily into the superhero genre. I was so inspired by all of the films, TV shows, and comics at that time – and I still am. Now that I have a little over 10 years of life experience since that first date of publication, I am ready to go back into Monica’s world and apply everything I’ve learned to the story. There will likely be revisions and even some new scenes. Also, a gorgeous new cover.
